Whether you’re a stay at home Mom or Dad(Hey, times are changing), you’ve got a physically demanding job, or you’re a professional model.
It’s always important to look and feel your best.
My name is Lauren and I started modeling when I was 15 years old with One Source Talent.
Since then I’ve moved on to sign a contract with a major modeling agency, and through the years I’ve learned a thing or two about looking and feeling great. I wanted to share these tips with you so you could look and feel your best.
1. Exercise is very important
You will see a lot of models in this industry who do not look very healthy, but the ones who make a long-term successful career out of modeling are the ones who are not willing to sacrifice their health for a temporary or short-term success. Like they say “If you take care of your body now, it will take care of you later”. This is absolutely true. I highly recommend cardiovascular exercise at least 3 times a week, as well as 3 times a week of weight lifting – it will pay off!
2. The details are in your diet
You’ve probably heard the saying “You are what you eat”. It is true. Have you ever had some junk food and felt sluggish all day after eating it? That’s your body trying to tell you something! Eat a clean diet of real organic foods including meats, vegetables, and fruits and a lot of water. You will not only shed fat, tone up your muscles, but what you will notice is that your skin will always be very clear and almost glowing. Also, you’ll feel refreshed and energetic at all times.
3. Buy clothes based on the fit not the price tag
I know a lot of people who are brand-crazy, meaning they buy clothes based on the designer or brand name, regardless of the price. If you’ve been exercising and eating a clean diet clothes are going to fit you much better and that $12 dollar top will fit you much better. When inexpensive clothes fit you better, they LOOK expensive. I have gotten more compliments on my well-fitting cheap clothes than I ever have on my expensive clothes.
4. Clear skin wins
Your diet will definitely help keep your skin clear, especially if you’re drinking a lot of water. However, there are still some extra pre-cautions you can take to keep your skin clear. First, wash your face morning and night with a gentle exfoliating soap. It doesn’t need to be too fancy. Second, place a clean towel over your pillow at night before you lay your head down to rest. This one tip alone has kept me breakout-free for months!
There you have it folks! 4 ways to almost instantly look and feel better throughout your day. I hope these tips help you as much as they have helped me throughout the years. I can truly say that I do look and feel my best when I do these 4 things and I know you will, too.
