A short recovery is a primary reason why many women and men choose a non surgical facelift over a more traditional surgical facelift. It can take 7 days or longer to recover fully from a traditional facelift, a procedure where a limited incision is made at one or more locations along the face’s circumference.
How you might look following a non surgical procedure
With a non surgical facelift a surgeon doesn’t make an incision to tighten and/or lift skin. Generally, injectable fillers like Collagen, Botox, Radiesse and PMMA are inserted into the skin using a needle. Although these fillers can add more fullness to your face, they generally cannot make you look 20 years younger.
As with other forms of surgery, results people gain from a non surgical facelift vary. The amount of fat in a person’s face plays a role in how the person will look post surgery. Yet, you should see marked results, the type of results that don’t require you to stare in a mirror to spot areas on your face where wrinkles or sunken spots have disappeared.
Jan Schulz is a woman who saw marked results following a non surgical facelift. She shares in the Daily Mail, “The effects of sun damage, my old smoking habit and the menopause were visible in my face.” The signs of aging that she saw in her face are typical for some middle aged women. However, being typical doesn’t make a woman feel better; knowing that many women get wrinkles during their middle-age years is not always enough to improve a woman’s self-esteem.
As Jan continued, “My skin was crepey and loose, and as I am very slim, there was no fat on my cheeks to pad things out.” To give herself more of the look she wanted, Jan reached out to a licensed surgeon. After a week, she noticed fewer deep lines around her eyes. Her skin was also smoother and tighter.
Other women and men who have gotten the non-invasive surgery have experienced results like fuller cheeks, more fullness in their lips, smoother lipstick lines and fewer deep lines or creases that extend from the nose to the mouth. Lines that go from the mouth to the jaw or chin have also decreased in some people.
The type of injectable filler that’s used determines how long the results last. Fillers that are made with hyalluronic acids generally last for six months. However, some hyalluronic acid fillers can give you results for up to a year. At the end of the six months or year, you’d have to get new injections or allow your face to age naturally.
After receiving a non surgical facelift you might experience mild swelling. Mild bruising is also possible. Some people have experienced numbness and a temporary redness in the area where the work was performed. You could limit these temporary side effects by resting and, of course, sticking to a healthy diet. It’s also a good idea to avoid smoking before and after the procedure.

That was an informative article. Have anyone heard about Sculptra. It is a non-surgical plastic surgery procedure that uses the material scultptra which has been used for many years in dissolved sutures and implants. I learned about it from Dr.Atul Kesarwani of Cosmedical Rejuvenation Clinic at Toronto. It is injected below the surface of the skin, where it triggers a natural reaction for the body to lay down it’s own collagen. Later it disappears by itself but stimulates the body to restore to restore volume at the point where is was injected. The effect lasts for atleast two years.
