It is helpful to empty and clean the intestine before the treatment. Corresponding salts (sodium sulfate or Epsom salt) are available at the pharmacy for laxative use. During the first two days, only juices and soups should be on the schedule. Only then should other foods be added.
These additions will determine the daily menu for about seven days. After around 10 days, other foods such as poultry or dairy products can slowly be consumed again. However, foods such as alcohol, sweets or coffee should be avoided until the end of the 14 day period.
