Once you become a stay a home parent, your main job is to look after the home and finding fun things to do with your children to keep them happy. I know exactly how hard it can be to stay fit and try to squeeze workouts in when you can. However in this day and age you really donโt need to travel to the gym to keep fit. There are plenty of other ways that you can use your time correctly not to miss out on a moment with your children. Here are my ways to help you to live a better lifestyle and become a healthier person.
Exercise With Your Children
By simply combining an activity for your children and something that is active enough for you to get a workout can do this. This could involve taking part in some outdoor activities or even playing football on the green. Whatever it is be sure to make it fun for both you and your children. Another great option is to take a parent baby yoga class if your children are young enough. This is a great way for you to bond with your children whilst still keeping fit.
Eat Healthy
Make sure that you are still getting all the food you need. Not eating enough food can be worse than eating too much. The amount you eat depends on your goals so be sure to contact your personal trainer to get advice on your diet first. An easy way to eat healthy is to make sure your family all does it together. This way you will not be tempted to eat any food thatโs bad for you.
Maximise Time
This is important because you will not always have a huge amount of time to workout so sometimes you might have to cut it down and just do a quick workout. This could involve an abs blast workout or even just focus on a specific body part eg legs.
This can also be done by taking advantage of any moment you might have when the children are asleep. Make sure to fit in your workouts around your children as you donโt want to sacrifice time with your children.
YouTube Workouts
It is great that we can access thousands of workout videos by doing a simple search. Find a workout you like and stick to it. When you start to see results maybe check out their other videos to give you ideas for your own workouts.
Everyone knows being a stay at home parent is hard because there is always something to be done as a house is never clean however you need to look after yourself by eating healthy and working out.

If you have school age children, one way of getting exercise for you and your children is to walk with them to school and meet them after school to walk home. You can fit this into your daily schedule. It gives you all a good workout and sets you up for the day PLUS it is eco-friendly.
I work from home and have found the best way to do it is to have a garden room which is my office. We had an old summerhouse which I had converted with heating, lighting and internet access. This way I can separate worok from home but still have the advantages of working from home.
